If you’re not planning on traveling with a laptop, then bringing an iPad Air along is a great second option. It definitely makes sense if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem with an iPhone or Macbook. The Apple iPad Air includes all the refinement that you have come to expect from Apple. If you have an external keyboard you can even use it as a pseudo laptop. The long battery life also makes for a decent e-reader.
